1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and/or using the "Opossum" plugin on this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, including data handling practices, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site and the plugin.
2. Description of Service
The "Opossum" plugin, developed by the Institute for Computational Design (ICD) at the University of Stuttgart, is designed for use with Grasshopper for Rhino to optimize designs based on specific parameters, such as the deformation of a truss under load. The plugin is available to users who register on this website and receive a free license key.
3. Registration and Data Use
To register, users must provide their email address. First name, last name, and institution are optional. This information is stored securely and used solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service and for occasional information or updates via email.
4. Data Protection
Personal information is securely processed by google firebase and stored on an encrypted server in Europe. IP addresses are logged temporarily to prevent malicious use and spamming and are deleted 60 minutes after the last signup activity.
5. Intellectual Property
The "Opossum" plugin is released under the GNU General Public License 3 and developed at the Institute for Computational Design (ICD), University of Stuttgart. The website and its content are protected by copyright.
6. License Grant
Upon registration, users are granted a free license key to use the "Opossum" plugin for personal and commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.
7. Termination
The license to use the "Opossum" plugin may be terminated at any time without notice.
8. Disclaimer
The "Opossum" plugin and website are provided 'as is', without any warranty of any kind. The Institute for Computational Design at the University of Stuttgart disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
